It is important for frequency coordinators to be aware of this issue as they are often asked for advice or resolution of related problems. This session will discuss the reasons that are accelerating the grow of signal booster use, the related FCC rules and different mechanisms of signal boosters, such as oscillation and noise, that can effect the performance of repeater and base station sites. Impact on nearby receivers will also be discussed. Methods to prevent and mitigate interference is included as well as handout materials. The presenter is a nationally recognized authority on public safety signal booster rules, codes and implementation.
